Thank you for using the LidyTalk service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). This Privacy Policy provides
information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. LidyTalk takes your privacy very
seriously.
1. Personal Information We Collect
To ensure smooth service operation and account management, we collect the minimum necessary personal information:
- Email Address: Collected for account registration, account recovery, sending important
notices, etc.
- Phone Number: Collected for user identification, enhancing account security, and
(optionally) features like finding friends.
- Contact Information (Optional): With your explicit permission, if you choose to use
features designed to help you connect with friends (such as 'Find Friends'), we may access your device's
contact list. We will upload the phone numbers of contacts you select or allow us to check against our user
database to our servers solely for the purpose of finding other LidyTalk users you may know. You can manage
this permission through your device settings.
- Camera and Microphone Data: The app collects and transmits camera and microphone data to
provide video calling features. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The collected personal information is used for the following purposes:
- Member registration and account management
- User identification and verification
- Delivering important service-related notices (e.g., password reset instructions)
- Operating and improving the Service
- With your explicit permission, if you choose to use features designed to help you connect with friends (such
as 'Find Friends'), we may access your device's contact list. We will upload the phone numbers of contacts
you select or allow us to check against our user database to our servers solely for the purpose of finding
other LidyTalk users you may know. You can manage this permission through your device settings.
3. Retention Period and Protection of Personal Information
- Your personal information is retained and used during the period of service provision. It will be promptly
destroyed upon account deletion (membership withdrawal) or according to the period specified by relevant
laws and regulations.
- Contact information uploaded for friend finding is processed only for that purpose and may be deleted sooner
if no longer needed for the feature or upon your request/permission withdrawal.
- LidyTalk implements technical and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information securely in
accordance with relevant laws and internal policies.
4. Sharing Personal Information with Third Parties
As a general rule, LidyTalk does not provide your personal information to external parties without your consent.
However, information may be provided on a limited basis if required by law or essential for service provision
(e.g., to technical support providers), provided that such third parties comply with data protection
obligations. Uploaded contact information is used internally for matching purposes and is not shared with other
users or third parties for marketing.
5. Your Rights
You may access or modify your registered personal information at any time and request account deletion
(withdrawal). This can be done through the settings menu within the app.
You also have the right to manage or revoke permission for accessing your contact list through your device's
settings at any time.
6. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be amended to reflect changes in laws or service specifications. We will notify you of
any changes through in-app announcements or other means.
